Tim’s practice is primarily but not exclusively focused on the fields of Business Associations, Estate Planning and Real Estate.

Tim is a member of the American, Iowa and Johnson County Bar Associations. Tim has been an adjunct professor in the University of Iowa College of Business Administration and has lectured in the areas of Real Estate and Estate Planning for the Iowa State Bar Association.

Tim is very active in the community. Currently, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Iowa City Community School District. Tim is also a past member and past President of the Board of the United Way of Johnson County (Board, 2002 – present; President, 2004 – 2006). Tim chaired the Strategic Planning Committee for United Way of Johnson County and has served on numerous campaign cabinets and other committees. Tim also serves on the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation’s Board of Advisors and is a past Member of the Board of Directors (Advisor, 2007-present; 1998-2004; Board, 2004 – 2007) and is an Honorary Trustee of Grand View College (Honorary 2007-present; Trustee 2007-2007), where he chairs the Mission and Purpose Committee (2003 – present). Tim was named Volunteer of the Year by the Johnson County United Way in 2003 and received the Iowa Legal Aid Volunteer Lawyers Project Award for service to low-income Iowans in 2006.
